What is possible with FCO v5


Zendesk is an advanced customer support tool used by thousands of companies worldwide for managing their customers and their issues. This plugin enables you to automatically create tickets including priority, queue and context setting for different customers based on events occuring within your Flexiant platform.

Use Cases/Scenarios

  • Automatic notification if certain (or all) Jobs fail, for example starting a server for trend analysis and investigation.
  • Automatically creating a ticket for work to be done each time a server is created.
  • Rapid and proactive detection of customer faults or issues for high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to prioritise in Zendesk by type of failure or customer support level.

To Activate the Plugin

  1. Download from link above (right click and select save file).
  2. Install via the Admin Control Panel of your Flexiant Install, instructions for this are available from here.
  3. If you haven’t already done so, register with Zendesk here.
  4. Retrieve an API Token from Settings > Channels > API within your Zendesk account
  5. Add the following information as Keys to the relevant Billing Entity:
Key Type Resource Key Name Value
Billing Entity Key Billing ZENDESK_API_TOKEN [Your ZenDesk API Token]
Billing Entity Key Billing ZENDESK_DOMAIN_NAME [Subdomain Name registered at ZenDesk]
